With the increase of veterans returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan and in the aftermath of the Walter Reed Fiasco veterans health care can no longer be on the back burner.
Question 1: Dedicated healthcare system for Veterans?
Before the Colorado state Democratic Convention in Colorado Springs, on May 17, 2008, several Veterans were asked a series of questions about Veteran affairs, and this is question: Do you think Veterans should have a dedicated healthcare system just for them?". These interviews were conducted at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) hall in concert with the Colorado Veterans Alliance (ColoradoVets.org) and American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE.org) at an event with Senator Ken Salazar, Representatives Mike Merrifield and Ed Perlmutter, and Candidates Lt. Col. Hal Bidlack, Anna Lord, Jan Hejtmanek, Allison Hunter, and others.
